Introduction
Within an Infrastructure team made up of engineers, DevOps, Architects and project managers working on the platforms of a complex ecosystem, the DevOps Data engineer will be in charge of the Design, construction and modernization of Data platforms and solutions, the design of data pipelines with an emphasis on agility and DevOps applied to Data.

As a DevOps Data Engineer, you are in the critical position to understand customer needs and participate in the implementation of new products and services. You give your full measure in mastering technical fundamentals and above all you assert your desire to understand the needs and the profession for which you work.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Mastery of Data fundamentals with knowledge of technologies (data pipelines: ingestion, processing, valuation and exposure of data).
• Investment in new data paradigms: Cloud, DaaS, SaaS, DataOps
• Understanding of data pipelines, monitoring, alert, security management (Carberos experience, SSL certificate)
• Maintain this dual Dev & Infra skill and know how to work with the agile method
• Be close to enterprise functions and business/users activities, by supporting them in defining their needs, their new products and services, defining user stories and testing via « Proof Of Concept ».

Work location: Clermont-Ferrand with One-off trips to France to be expected.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 
  You have a Bac +4/5 level of study – Engineering school or Master 2 in computer science
• Excellent communication skills and ability to hold conversations at the correct level
  • You have strong communication skills, good team spirit, you know how to concisely explain a complex problem in simple terms, to your colleagues and/or to a client, and have some experience in problem solving techniques.
• You demonstrate a pragmatic, autonomous spirit, oriented towards results and added value
• 
  3 to 5 years of experience in software engineering, software development or systems operations; as well in bringing assistance to development and support teams as a level 3 expert
  • Expert in the field of Data: 3 to 5 years of postgraduate experience
  • Good knowledge of Rest APIs and microservices

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• You like to work in a multicultural and dynamic environment, arouse your curiosity and your creativity and you have already worked in collaborative mode (Agile, Design Thinking, MVP, sprint planning.).
• You demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, as you like working in a team & you have a strong sense of service, you’re committed to delivering your activities with quality and timeliness.
• A Dev skill (Java, Scala, python) is a plus, associated with an infra skill (Linux, Ansible, K8s): you will be engaged in training and getting further certification course on current and future technologies, such as:
  • o Azure (Data), Elastic.io, Kafka, Cloudera, Confluent, Docker, K8s …
• Certifications especially on Kafka, Azure, will be a plus.
